Bordar, gosto tanto; Embroidery, I love you so

I started to embroider in the middle of December, the year was almost over and I had no time to sew. I went from curious to practitioner after seeing the videos of the free embroidery course of Ana Isabel Ramos, Air, and I strongly recommend it.
Often, what´s harder is to start, to break the barrier of what holds us to the ideas we preconceived and to begin is to build a reality, ours. In my case, I found something that I know, that I feel, that I love.

I've learned a lot in almost three months, I'm the kind of person who sees 30,000 videos, looks for books, tips and tricks, I get obsessed (partially, lets be kind) with one thing and I want to know everything, learn everything. All these projects gave me something, taught me something, and this is for me the greatest happiness of learning and doing.
Embroidering is an art of hands and trace. It is meditative and each small stitch takes a part of me. Of my attention and of my affection, of my dedication, of my creativity. Another wonderful advantage is that you can pack and carry it anywhere! Yes, for a compulsive doer like me, this is a wonderful advantage.
I have done a lot of projects but they were all to offer, the only one that will be staying at home is what I did for him, my R. I'll let you guess which one if from the photos below ;-)

  1. I love all of these projects! The love and time and care you put into each one is obvious from the beautiful attention to detail. I can't believe you only just started embroidering! I think it would take me ten years to come even close to this. So lovely <3

  2. I'm so happy you have started to embroider! I have loved to follow your embroidery trip in Instagram, see what you are doing. I have always liked embroidery a lot and made some projects every now and then too, tried out different embroidery techniques, they are so so many out there :). I'm also planning to make more embroidery this year, quilting and embroiderig are those things that interest me a lot at the moment. I love that little pouch you made and also the all red mandala kind of thing, but they are all very pretty <3.
